16 Day Annapurna Base Camp Tour - Nepal

The 16 day Annapurna Base Camp trek offers unparalleled mountain views including Ghorepani and Poon Hill. We will visit the Jhinudanda natural hot spring and enjoy some cultural experiences with villages along the way. We will reach soaring heights of over 4000m!

Sample Itinerary: 

Day 1

Arrive at Kathmandu, Nepal

Day 2

Enjoy a day of sightseeing around Kathmandu including Pasupatinath Temple, Buddhanath, Monkey Temple, Bhaktpur and Durbar Square

Day 3

Take a 7 hour trip by bus to Pokhara

Take a look around the town in the afternoon

Day 4

Take a short drive from Pokhara to Nayapul where we will commence the trek. Today will take us along the bank of the Modi Khola, through Birethanti, a large village with shops and teahouses. Afterwards we continue our trek along the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola and climb the side of the valley to Hille, finishing at Tikhedhunga. This is an easy day! Tikhedhunga is at 1570m.

Day 5

The day starts with a steep climb to Ulleri, a large village at 2070m. An easier ascend is next to Banthanti (2250m) and Nangethanti (2460m). Finish the day in Ghorepani (2840m)

Day 6

We start early today with a hike to Poon Hill (3210m) – we will see an unobstructed view of the sunrise over the Himalayas. Return to Ghorepani for breakfast before trekking through pine and forests to Deurali, Banthanti and Tadapani

Day 7

Today we descend steeply  through forests, before easing onto a trail to Gurjung. From here we have an easy walk to Chommrong (2140m)

Day 8

We start with a descent to Chhomroong Khola then a climb to Khuldighar (2380m). Then we descend again a bank of rock, then along to a level trail, through thickets of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge! We will enjoy amazing views today

Day 9

We have a short walk to manage any affects of altitude and risk associated with snow avalanche in the area that we need to cross the next morning. Ascend through forests to the Himalayan Hotel and Hinko Cave. We finish the day at Deurali

Day 10

Enjoy the mountain scenery as we climb to the Summit past Machhapuchhare Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp

Day 11

Following the same trail down the mountain, we will descend approximately 1700m to Modi Khola and Bamboo

Day 12

Use the same trail to Chhomrong and then we descend steeply to Jhinu Hot Spring where we can take a dip!

Day 13

We have a short day of trekking today to Birethanti. Look forward to a relaxed afternoon. There are shops to check out or simply relax!

Day 14

Today we return by air to Kathmandu

Day 15

Travel home
